I was an English Major in college. I started out intending to major in archaeology, but realized I was more interested in the study of people and switched to anthropology. While that was fascinating, I cared more about the books I was reading and the stories I was writing. That's when my father said, "Maybe, you should be a writer." This prompted my mother to say, "You've nearly got a whole book written. You should finish it and get it published." My brother followed that with, "I want to be the first to read it." The idea had been a seed inside my heart for awhile, but the encouragement gave me what I needed to let it grow. I have now finished my first novel, Fire's Love, and have nearly completed the sequel, Earth's Embrace. If I am not at work, I am nearly always writing or reading. I love to read, especially books that make me think, and evaluate my opinions. I have many interests, but do love the paranormal and mystical, as well as the good vs. evil concept. I also believe that it is not always true that a book can be judged by its cover... so to speak. Sometimes the person who seems to be the "bad guy" actually is the "good guy". I enjoy a variety of books, but especially enjoyed the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, the Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling and the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.
